Worship leading is more than just playing songs on stage. Facilitating God’s worship requires humility and obedience if one is to be effective. I think many would agree that Jesus and church leaders would rather trust the facilitation of worship to a person with a heart for God and no music ability, than a great musician who is not fully devoted to Christ. Therefore, what God requires most from a worship leader is a passionate spirit of surrender and commitment to God’s word and purpose.
